General Notes: Husband - Walter Wood Hodges
In 1827 he came with his parents to Warren, Warren County, Pennsylvania, and assisted his father in building the court house. Like his father he became one of the most influential and successful business men in the county, and was extensively engaged in lumbering. He owned a large tract of timber lands and operated a saw-mill near Balltown. At one period of his life he was for a number of years engaged in mercantile business. He was a Democrat and served as prothonotary of Warren County, four terms also registrar and recorder, and was a member of the Presbyterian church.
