General Notes: Husband - John Hineman
This name is found in England, Ireland and Scotland. It also occurs in Germany, but there it is spelled Hinmann. Another form of the name is Inman. It is not of record where the earliest bearers of the name in this country came from, but it is certain that they were in Pennsylvania during the very early colonial days.
At an early day, he settled in the southern part of Beaver County, Pennsylvania, where he was a farmer, and owned a considerable tract of land. Subsequently he removed to Venango County, purchased a farm and spent the remainder of his life in that county. He and his wife were members of the United Presbyterian Church.
