General Notes: Husband - John Hindman
He removed after his marriage to what was later known as the R. M. Corbett farm in Clarion County, Pennsylvania; it was situated on the turnpike near the line of Jefferson County; this was in 1806; in 1812 or thereabouts the Indians assisted him in the construction of his house; in 1813 he removed to what was later the Israel Johnston farm, which was located one mile north of the turnpike and a half mile west of the Jefferson County line; he patented a large tract of land which eventually was divided up into several farms. He cleared a farm and built a grist mill on the lot known as the J. B. Jones mill lot.
