General Notes: Husband - Charles Duff Jackson, M.D.
He began his education in the public schools, graduating April 4, 1896, and on April 27, 1897, he was graduated from Duff 's Business College, of Pittsburgh. About the following year he entered Washington and Jefferson College, where he remained as a student for two years. During his college days he won fame as an athlete, taking part in numerous sprinting contests with other colleges and never losing a race. He subsequently took up the study of medicine, and on May 27, 1904, was graduated from the Western Medical University, of Pittsburgh. He then spent one year in the Shenango Valley Hospital at New Castle, Pennsylvania, receiving on July 1, 1905, a certificate recommending him as resident physician and surgeon. On October 3, 1905, he went before the State Board of Medical Examiners of the State of Colorado and was licensed to practice medicine. He spent a year in Mercy Hospital, Denver, and from that institution also received a certificate as a qualified resident physician and surgeon, being especially well qualified in surgery, for which he had a natural bent, and skill acquired by considerable experience.
On the first anniversary of his marriage, he met with a fatal accident on the tramway and died the same day. His burial was with full Masonic honors, he having been a member of the Masonic fraternity. He belonged also to the Odd Fellows and the Royal League.
