He was dean of the School of Education of the University of Chicago. He was associated for many years with Dr. Parker in the Cook County Normal School. When Mrs. Emmons Blaine founded the School of Education in connection with the University of Chicago, Mr. Jackman became identified with it. He was a graduate of the [Pennsylvania] State Normal School at California, also of Meadville College, and of Harvard University.
