General Notes: Husband - John Hilliard


He came to Butler County, PA, with his parents when a lad of seven years. He was reared in Parker township. He and his wife were the parents of ten children, all of whom grew to maturity. In 1823 Mr. Hilliard erected the first grist mill on Slippery Rock creek, at Hilliards, and followed that business the remainder of his life.
