Bell Twp, Westmoreland Co, PA

He was reared on a farm, receiving his education in the common schools. Later he took a course at the Veterinary Association of London, Canada. In 1901 he purchased eighty acres of the Kunkle property, formerly the Kunkle homestead, which he then cultivated according to the most intelligent and advanced methods.
