General Notes: Husband - Alexander Neal

He was reared on the farm, and received his education in the public schools. He had a farm of 144 acres, well improved and under a high state of cultivation, and followed general farming and stock raising. He was exceptionally successful as a stock raiser and dealer, buying and selling extensively throughout his active career.
Politically, he was an active supporter of the Republican party. In religious attachment he was a consistent member of the Hopewell Presbyterian Church.
