General Notes: Husband - Jacob Armbrust
His father was a native of Germany who emigrated to America, settled at Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and printed a German paper there about the year 1820.
He was born on the old Pleasant Unity road, two miles east of Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He was educated and spent his entire life in Hempfield township, Westmoreland County. He learned the mason trade, and followed that occupation until the infirmities of old age compelled him to retire from an active life. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, and a supporter of the Republican party. He was a member of the old Greensburg Blues, a militia organization, and was one of the guards at the execution of Evans.
