General Notes: Husband - Dr. James Nicholas Walker
His early years were spent on the farm where he was born, and in Greenville, Pennsylvania. He attended the public schools and was then prepared for college, becoming a student at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, from which he was graduated with the degree of Doctor of Medicine. He commenced the practice of his profession in Greenville, Pennsylvania, where he remained two years, and after a short interval in Mexico and New Mexico, located in Linesville, Pennsylvania, in 1882, and engaged in a successful medical practice in that town. In 1910 he associated his son, Herman Hervey, with him, intending to retire gradually from active practice.
