General Notes: Husband - Joseph Lee Huston
He received his education in the public schools of Ligonier and at Blairsville Academy, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He assisted his father on the homestead of which he became, in the course of time, the sole owner, his brother having received his share of the estate in money. Like his father he made his farming of a general character, and also engaged in the raising of stock. He was also employed in the building of the State Road (Lincoln Highway) between Ligonier and Unity Line. While adhering to the Democratic party Mr. Huston was inclined to independence of thought and action in politics as in all the other affairs of life. His father was an elder in the Presbyterian church, and the son was true to the religious traditions of his ancestral stock.
