General Notes: Husband - Charles Philip Morford
He attended public school until fifteen years of age, after which he attended the academy at Kinsman, OH, three years, from which he was graduated. He followed farming with his father until 1900, when he located on what was known as “Pleasant Dale Farm,” it being a part of the old Morford estate. The first family reunion was held there in 1803. In 1903 the Morford family celebrated their one hundredth anniversary on this farm, at which two hundred people were in attendance. A portion of this farm was in Pymatuning and another part in West Salem Township, but the Pymatuning part was sold and Charles P. managed the balance. He carried on a dairy in connection with his farming operations and kept thirty-two cattle. Politically, he was a Republican and served as supervisor of his township. In church affiliations he was connected with the Methodist Episcopal denomination.
