General Notes: Husband - Peter Klingensmith

He assisted with the work on his father's farm until he attained his majority, and then formed a business arrangement with the owner of a thresher, which continued until his removal to Delmont and establishment of a business of his own. His business was the sale of farm implements, machinery, wagons, carriages and a full line of goods pertaining thereto.
Politically he was a Democrat. He was called to serve as burgess, as a member of the council, and as school director. Mr. Klingensmith was a member of the Lutheran church at Delmont, of which he was an elder for some years. He was superintendent of the Sabbath school for twenty-five years, and assistant superintendent for fifteen years.
