He removed to Pleasant Unity, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and finally to Salem township, where he died. He formerly engaged in farming but at Salem carried on the hotel business in connection therewith. [BHCWC, 673]

He removed in 1818 to Salem township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he purchased a farm one and one-half miles south of New Salem.
