General Notes: Husband - John George Helfferich

He settled in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, in 1801. His education was as good as that acquired by the majority of people in those early days. He was a successful farmer and a man of considerable influence in the community. He was a consistent member of the Lutheran church, and donated the ground needed to build the first Lutheran church in that vicinity. This was for a time called the Helfferich Church, but later the name was changed to that of Brick church.
