General Notes: Husband - Herbert G. Heilman


He received the early part of his education under Mary S. Garretts, at the Home for Deaf Children in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and later completed his studies in 1907, at the Kittanning Academy. He began his business career with his uncles, William and James Heilman, long successful lumber dealers in Kittanning, under the firm name of Heilman Brothers Lumber Company and was associated with the firm until it was dissolved on April 1, 1913. On March 27, 1916, another firm, known as the Heilman Lumber Company, was organized and began operations in Ford City, Pennsylvania.
He was a member of the Lumber Dealers Association of Western Pennsylvania, was a Republican in politics, and worshipped at the St Luke's Reformed Church in Kittanning.
