General Notes: Husband - Norval Edgar Heeter
He was raised in Licking township, Clarion County, PA, attending public school and Rimersburg Academy. In 1899 he graduated from the Clarion State Normal School, and, in 1902, from Grove City College. He took post-graduate work at the University of Indiana. In 1896 he began to teach. His first two years were spent in Licking township, in the country; for two years thereafter he was principal of the graded school at Callensburg. He then served two years as assistant principal of the high school at Brooksville, Pennsylvania, and was for four years principal of the Edenburg high school. In 1908 he was elected county superintendent of schools for Clarion county, and he was re-elected in 1911. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons and of the Knights of Pythias. In politics he was a Democrat. He and his wife were members of the Methodist Episcopal church.
