General Notes: Husband - James Hart

He settled on the farm formerly known as Cooperstown, in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, in 1807. There had been some improvement made by Wm. Cooper, and the farm was purchased of him, by John Hart, father of James, in 1806, then 280 acres. It became one of the prettiest farms in the township, there being no land untillable in the tract. The first survey was made in 1773.
