Earl Hovis, Wife Of Clintonville Honored at Party
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hovis, Clintonville, were honored at a dinner party Sunday, Jan. 7, in the Tavern in New Wilmington in observance of their 25th wedding anniversary.
The couple's three sons, Gary of Cuba, N. Y., Robert of Glen Burnie, Mo., and Philip, at home, were hosts.
A large silver bell filled with pink and white carnations served as a centerpiece. Two smaller silver bells also held smaller flower arrangements.
A heart-shaped cake was topped with a miniature bride and groom and three pink carnations.
Mr. Hovis and the former Sylvia Walters were united in marriage on Jan. 7, 1943 by the Rev. Paul Smith in the Grace Methodist Church, Clintonville.
Celebrating with the family was Miss Cheryl Reagle, Grove City. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hovis, Clintonville, and Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Hovis, Sewickley.
