General Notes: Husband - Aaron F. Lesher


He was reared on his father's farm and educated in the public schools. As a young man he engaged in the general merchandising business in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, for a short time, and then returned to farming, conducting besides an extensive butchering business. In 1889 he settled on a farm near New Franklin. He was also an auctioneer, conducting real and personal property sales. In politics he was a Republican, and served as a school director of Guilford township, 1897-1903. He was a member of the Reformed Church, and served as deacon and elder of his church, and as superintendent of the Sunday-school.
