General Notes: Husband - Nathaniel W. Hazen
At the age of twenty-three years he began farming his father's farm on shares; later he bought 100 acres known as the "Severance farm," and with his faithful wife labored to clear the place from debt; and just as their work was about to bring its reward, Mrs. Hazen died, after just a few days' illness.
He was a Republican; he was school director about thirteen years, and also held other township offices.
