General Notes: Husband - James Hazen

---

He was a soldier in the War of 1812.

He and his wife were natives of New Jersey, who came to Beaver County, Pennsylvania, at an early day and settled in North Sewickley township; but after the division of the township they were in Franklin. They had thirteen children, eight of whom were still living in 1888.

He was a gunsmith, a trade he followed through life, at the same time superintending his farm.
