General Notes: Husband - Samuel Houston, Esq.


He emigrated to America from Scotland, with his father, in boyhood. [HLC 1883, 1053]
He held the office of justice of the peace for more than forty years. In 1829 he was elected to the State Senate, and held the position three years. He kept store at the turnpike, and afterwards at the Gap for many years.

He was too young to serve during the Revolutionary War.
