General Notes: Husband - John Lashells Hays

He received his education in Pennsylvania, graduating from Washington and Jefferson College in 1901. He was admitted to the bar in 1903, and for two years thereafter practiced with his father. But his health made a change of climate advisable, and he removed West, in 1906 becoming legal adviser and real estate manager for the Barnsdale Oil Company, of Bartlesville, OK, later becoming assistant secretary and treasurer of the corporation, which was one of the leading producers in the West.
