General Notes: Husband - Robert M. Hope

He was reared to the age of fourteen years in Wilmington Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania, and then came to New Wilmington, Lawrence County, where he served an apprenticeship to the printer's trade. He started in the office of the New Wilmington Globe, when that journal was first organized, and remained in that office for four years, and subsequently worked five years in the office of the Cleveland Leader. He then returned to Lawrence County and engaged in farming. He owned a valuable property of seventy acres, which lay at the cross roads where the Mt. Jackson, Enon Petersburg and Moravia highways met.
