General Notes: Husband - Dr. Adam Hays
He was educated at Dickinson College and studied medicine with Doctor McCoskry; graduated from the medical department, University of Pennsylvania, in 1811. He entered the army as an assistant surgeon and resigned at the close of the war. He practiced medicine in Chillicothe, Ohio, and Carlisle, Pennsylvania; in 1829 removed to Pittsburgh; then to Madison, Indiana, where he died.
