General Notes: Husband - William O. Hayes
He received his early education at the local public schools, and from the time of his leaving these institutions until within a year or so of his death, he devoted his entire attention to farming, with the exception of four years spent by him on the Greensburg police force. He was active in the life of the community, and a member of the Westmoreland Camp of the Woodmen of the World. He attended St. Paul's Church at Pleasant Unity for about eight years prior to his death, and was superintendent of the Sunday school there and a trustee of the church.
