General Notes: Husband - Samuel Hoon
He was born in the eastern part of Pennsylvania and when quite young came with his parents to Butler County, where he was reared on a farm and learned the carpenters' trade, at which he worked for many years. He erected many large barns through that section of the country and died in Butler County at the advanced age of ninety years.
He was a farmer and carpenter and resided on a small farm near Prospect, Butler County, Pennsylvania.
There were twelve children in the Hoon family, of whom two died in early life.
