General Notes: Husband - Orren E. Haven

He made his home with his parents until twenty years of age, and having received a practical education became a teacher. For some time was also engaged in searing timber. In 1851 he married and located in Keating township, on a farm he had previously purchased. He and his wife were members of the Old Norwich Church. In politics he was a Republican, and filled nearly all of the local township offices. He was urged to accept the nomination for county commissioner, but declined.
