He completed his education in a high school in Clarion County, Pennsylvania. For five years he was connected with the Foxburg Bank, where he gained a practical knowledge of business affairs. When quite young he was chosen superintendent of the Fox estate, and his ability as a manager was soon demonstrated, as he handled the extensive business connected therewith. He was perfectly familiar with every branch of the vast business connected with the estate.
Fraternally, Mr. Harvey affiliated with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and the Knights of the Maccabees.
