General Notes: Husband - Hon. Henry Scholl

He began his career at the age of sixteen as clerk in a general store at Fogelsville, Pennsylvania, where his father was practicing medicine. After spending a dozen years as clerk in various places he entered into partnership with Daniel Siegfried in 1853 under the firm name of Siegfried and Scholl, and engaged in the manufacture of tile. At the end of three years Siegfried sold out his interest to Reuben Dewalt. Later Mr. Scholl bought out Dewalt's share and continued the business under his own name. He served his community as School Director and as Borough Treasurer. He was elected by the Democrats to represent his district in the State Assembly in 1878. He was reelected in 1880. He was a member of the Reformed Church.
