General Notes: Husband - William Andrews

He was born on a farm one mile west of the old family homestead in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and was one of the pioneer farmers of that section.

He was the recipient, when a young man, of a farm, the gift of his father, adjacent to the old family place, which consisted of one hundred and thirty-three acres. Most of this he cleared for himself and there built a house, barns and the necessary farm outbuildings, all of which were completed before the outbreak of the Civil War, at which time he was sixty years of age. He was a member of the same church of which his father had been one of the founders, the United Presbyterian church of Mount Pleasant.
