General Notes: Husband - Henry Clemens Harrold
He received a common school education and made farming his life-work. In politics Mr. Harrold was a Democrat. He was a very active church member and extremely liberal, not only in the material assistance which he rendered to the work of the church, but in his religious sentiments and opinions. He was the chief promoter and benefactor of the Harrold German Reformed church, Hempfield township, which was named in his honor. In this church he served as elder, as he did in a church to which he had previously belonged, and held the office almost continuously after attaining to man's estate.
