General Notes: Husband - Rev. James Henry Orbison
After graduating at Jefferson College, he attended the Theological Seminary at Princeton, New Jersey, was ordained a minister in the Presbyterian church, and in 1850 went as a missionary to India. He married and his wife died without issue. When on a visit to America, he married his second wife, who returned with him to India. In 1869 they returned to America on a visit, and about a month after their return, he died at Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.
He and his wife devoted the early years of their life to missionary work in India, in which country their four children were born. His health being impaired, they returned to Bellefonte, Centre County, Pennsylvania.
He died at Bellefonte about one month after his return from India.
