General Notes: Husband - Samuel Wimer
He lived in Lancaster, PA, previous to 1798, but in that year he and his father started on horseback for Butler County. They located on a farm in Worth township purchased from William Elliott, a surveyor and land agent. The place was later occupied by the widow of John Pisor.
He served in the War of 1812.
He was born in Adams county, PA, and was six years old when his parents settled in Worth township, Butler County. There he grew to manhood enduring the trials and privations of pioneer days, and obtaining such an education as the schools of the period afforded. He later purchased a farm and resided on it down to his death; the farm was later owned by his son George.
