General Notes: Husband - Daniel Schuckers

He and his wife were natives of Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, where their marriage was celebrated, and where they remained until their removal to Jefferson County in 1857. He purchased what was known as the Jacob Horm farm in Winslow township, comprising 107 acres, for which he paid $2,000, and there continued to reside up to within a year of his death. He was a successful farmer, was a stalwart Democrat in politics, and served his fellow-citizens in the capacity of school director, supervisor and auditor of Frailey township, Schuylkill county. They held membership in the Lutheran Church.

He came to Jefferson County, Pennsylvania, from Pottsville, Schuylkill County.
