General Notes: Husband - John Wilson

He settled in Meadville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, in 1826, and in 1827 removed to Woodcock Township, and settled on a farm, later occupied by the widow of Francis Wilson, which they cleared and improved, and where he died at the age of sixty-nine.

In the fall of 1827, he and his wife brought their family and household goods in wagons and drove stock over the Allegheny Mountains to Meadville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, being nearly four weeks on the journey. They located the same season on a farm on Woodcock Creek, four miles east of Saegertown. He erected a large log-house, where the whole family was reared.
