He was born at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, educated there primarily, and was connected with the publication of the Pittsburg Leader with his brother from 1873 to 1906, and upon the death of his brother, Col. John I. Nevin, succeeded him as managing editor and continued in that capacity up to the time he and his brother, Joseph T. Nevin, sold out their interests.
From 1873 to 1906 was connected with the publication of the Pittsburgh Leader.
