He began his education in the public schools of the home locality, and later was a student in the academies at Leechburg and Blairsville. After the death of his father, he resided with his moth-er on the farm owned and occupied for so many years by his parents. Mr. Hill belonged to the Lutheran Church at Leechburg, and served as a member of the church council. He was a Republican on political questions.
