General Notes: Husband - Daniel Hare

He was the immigrant ancestor of this family, coming from Ireland, settling in Dunbar township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. He had been a weaver in his native land and soon after settling in Dunbar township was offered a large tract of land for a pony and a web of Irish broadcloth which he had in his possession, but probably from reasons of sentiment refused to accept the offer. He was unable to follow his trade in this country and attracted by the fertility of the soil engaged in agriculture, soon owning a great deal of land in the vicinity of Paul Works.
