General Notes: Husband - Edward Reed

He learned the carpenter's trade in West Salem Township, Mercer County, PA. After his marriage he moved to Iowa and was engaged in the stock business there, but in 1869 he returned to Greenville. For a time after their return the family lived in a log house which had been used by S. Beil for the storing of hay, but later they moved to Sugar Grove Township, and from there in 1896 to West Salem Township, where Mr. Reed followed carpentering and farming until his death. He was a Democrat in his political affiliations and attended the Methodist church. [HMC 1909, 1044]
