General Notes: Husband - William Miller
He received a common school education, and was reared on his father's farm. In 1874 he purchased the Hyle farm, in Middlesex township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, containing ninety acres, on which he then resided. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church and filled the offices of trustee and treasurer in that organization. Politically, he was a Republican, and was a member of the school board of his township.
