General Notes: Husband - Miles W. Hetrick

He grew to manhood in Madison township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, on his father's farm, and received his education in the common schools of the locality. He always followed farming as an occupation and was successful, owning his own farm of eighty-seven acres beginning in 1872. He held various local offices in Madison township, including that of assessor for two terms. In politics he was a Republican, and in religious connection was a member of the Lutheran Church.
