General Notes: Husband - Philip Antes

He was born in Centre County, Pennsylvania, in 1800, and accompanied his parents to Clearfield County in 1825, locating permanently in Lawrence township.
After marriage he and his wife settled on a tract of unimproved land, which by industry and perseverance they made into a productive farm, and there he followed agriculture and lumbering throughout his life.
