MAN WHO FELL WITH TELEPHONE POLE IS DEAD
Injuries Which Norman Pryer, of Rockland, Suffered on Sunday Prove Fatal.
CHILDREN ARE ORPHANS
Norman Pryer, aged 37, died in the Franklin Hospital at 6 o'clock Wednesday evening from internal injuries that resulted from his fall while at work in Rockland township Sunday.
Pryer was working on a telephone pole fixing a wire when the pole toppled over and he went over with it. His injuries developed to be so serious that he was brought here to the hospital on Tuesday evening. His condition grew worse until his death last night.
An autopsy showed that injuries to vital organs received when he fell were responsible for his death.
The deceased was a widower, his wife having died several years ago. Four children, now orphaned by the untimely death of their father, survive. They are Arthur, Helen, Agnes and Freda, all of whom make their home with the deceased's mother, Mrs. John Pryer. One brother, Wallace Pryer, of Rockland, and three sisters, Mrs. Charles Ferringer, of Cranberry; Mrs. Charles Heron, of Oakdale, and Mrs. Robert Fenner, of New Middletown, also survive.
The deceased was a member of the Rockland lodge of Odd Fellows.
The body was prepared for burial at the undertaking rooms of Byrer & Canon and sent to Kennerdell on the 8:13 Pennsylvania train this morning.
