General Notes: Husband - William Jaynes


In early life he followed cabinet making, but later was a traveling salesman, selling medicine for his cousin, Dr. Jaynes, of Philadelphia.

He was a man of education and ability, devoting his energy mainly to selling goods and traveling as agent. For many years he was traveling agent for Dr. David Jayne and his then famous remedies. He resided in Saltsburg, Pennsylvania, until his death. He was a Whig in politics and strongly opposed to human slavery.
He and his wife were both members of the Baptist church.
