1) After the death of his wife in 1838, he went West and nothing more is known of him. [DRH, 54]
2) [In reference to son, John Wesley] His father died shortly after his birth and the mother and son lived with her father until her second marriage. John lived with his grandfather, John, until manhood. His surname was legally changed to Henderson. [DRH, 95] But from the dates given in the source, it would seem that it was his mother who died shortly after his birth - so why the reference to a second marriage for her?
