General Notes: Husband - Charles L. Graft

Scottdale, East Huntingdon Twp, Westmoreland Co, PA

He was born at the old Keister Mill, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, and was reared in the county of Westmoreland. He began working while yet a boy and was employed in a brick yard until he had reached the age of eighteen. He then obtained employment in the rolling mill at Scottdale, beginning at fifty cents per day in the puddling department. He steadily advanced until he became a roller, 1885, and was constantly employed at that thereafter. He was a member of the firm of Eicher and Graft, hardware merchants, and of the Broadway Planing Mill Company. He was a member of the K. of P.; Fountain Lodge, No. 443, A. I. O. K. M., of Scottdale; and of the S. of V.
He and his family were members of the United Brethren church of Scottdale, Mr. Graft being active in both church and Sabbath school, a teacher and treasurer in the latter, and a steward of the former.

General Notes: Wife - Martha Ritchie

She was born in Ireland and came to America with her parents, the family settling in Pennsylvania. She was brought up at Brady's Bend, Armstrong County, where her father was employed in the coke works. The Ritchie family was strongly Presbyterian.
