ROBERT LEE PALM
Robert Lee Palm, 73, Egypts Corners died at 6 AM Sunday in Franklin Hospital. A World War I veteran, he was born Jan. 26, 1894, at New Castle, a son of Hiram and Clara Platt Palm. He was married May 29, 1925, to the former Hazel Heckathorn. He was a carpenter by occupation. He worked first at Oil Well and retired in 1960 from Struthers Wells.
He served in France during World War I at Base Hospital 76. He was inducted into the service on May 28, 1918, and discharged May 2, 1919, at Camp Dix, NJ.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hazel Palm; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Graham of Franklin, Mrs. Ruben (Janet) King of Fairview and Nancy Lee Palm at home; a brother, Lawrence Palm of Rockland; three grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Friends may call at the Osenider Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday. The Rev. Sherman J. Beers, pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist Church, will officiate. Internment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.

MRS. HAZEL E. PALM
Mrs. Hazel E. Palm, 78, of Franklin RD 2, widow of Robert Lee Palm, died at 9:45 PM Sunday in the Franklin Hospital where she had been a patient for the past four weeks. She had been in ill health for the past three years.
She was born in Cranberry Township on Nov. 14, 1904, a daughter of Reuben and Frances Allison Heckathorne, and had lived in the Cranberry area all her life. Her husband, Robert Lee Palm, died Jan. 14, 1968.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Graham, Jr. of Franklin; Mrs. Ruben (Janet) King of Erie and Nancy Lee Palm at home, three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Samuel Lewis Heckathorne of Buffalo, NY, and five sisters, Mrs. John (Marie) Dempsey, Mrs. Myrtle Snyder and Mrs. Sherman (Dorothy) Beers, all of Oil City, Mrs. Mildred Coon of Reno and Mrs. Donald (Bertha) Ace of Emlenton.
Friends may call at Louis H. Osenider Funeral Home where services will be held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday with the Rev. Sherman Beers of Oil City, retired Wesleyan Methodist minister, officiating. Internment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
