General Notes: Husband - Francis "Frank" Andrews
He emigrated to America from Ireland when a young man, and when he arrived in the United States he had but fifty cents in money. However, he soon found employment and became one of the leading farmers in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and at his death was the owner of five farms, which he bequeathed to his five sons.
He came to America from either Scotland or Ireland, being of Scotch-Irish descent. He located in Mount Pleasant township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he lived and died on a farm, one of three that he owned which were still in the possession of the family into the twentieth century.
